                         Captain Tom More's 100th Birthday for the NHS

                                                                                                                                                      StoryCaptain Tom More aims to walk a hundred lengths of the back garden (25 meters long) before he reaches 100 years at the end of the month.
On Thursday April 16, Captain Tom Moore completed his last ten out of 100. This was captured on platforms including the BBC and ITV, and can be seen across various global news agencies.
Tom will continue walking, collecting funds for the NHS heroes, and spreading some delight around the world as he does so.

Tom was born and raised in Kelly, Yorkshire. He went to Keighley Grammar School and then completed vocational training as a civil engineer. Tom went on to enlist him on 8 DWR (145 RAC) at the start of the war, and in 1940 he was chosen to train officers. It was later posted to 9DWR in India, served and fought in the Arakan, went to the regiment to Sumatra after Japanese surrender and returned to be a teacher at the Armored Vehicle School in Buffington.
